PADI INSTRUCTOR DEVELOPMENT COURSE - 10 days
The PADI Instructor Development Course (IDC) is the heart of the PADI Instructor training process. This program is designed for PADI Divemasters (or any qualifying certification from another training organization) who would like to become certified as PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor to be able to teach and conduct PADI diver courses.
Our extended PADI Instructor Development Course (IDC) is divided into 2 components; PADI Assistant Instructor Course (AI) and PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor Course (OWSI). You can choose to do your entire PADI Instructor Development Course IDC in one go, or you can take your time and do it part by part.

What you will be doing during the Development Process
During your PADI Instructor Development Course (IDC), you will apply your diving skills and knowledge into learning to conduct knowledge development segments, confined water dives and open water dives of PADI courses using the entire PADI System of Diver Education.

Our unique PADI Instructor Development Course (IDC) prepares you to function as a successful PADI Scuba Instructor. There is no maximum number of attempts to reach the performance requirements; we will keep coaching you until you can comfortably gain the knowledge, skill and teaching techniques to use the PADI System effectively.

To enroll in a PADI Instructor Development Course (IDC) you must:
Be certified as a PADI Divemaster or hold a leadership level certification with another recreational diver training organization.
Be at least 18 years old.
Be fit for diving and submit a Medical Statement for a diving medical examination conducted within the past 12 months. A licensed physician must sign the form and state that the candidate is fit for diving. The physician signing the form may not be the applicant.
Have been a certified diver for at least six months and have completed and logged at least 60 open water scuba dives (as documented in the individual’s log book) and have documentation of experience in deep, night and navigation diving.
Submit proof of CPR and first aid training within the last 24 months.
Submit documentation of any equivalent certification for entrylevel, advanced, rescue and leadership-level issued by another recreational diver training organization. (PADI Members who have these records on file at PADI do not need to resubmit.)
If not a PADI Divemaster, successfully complete the PADI Divemaster course diver rescue skills assessment.
