Popularly known as “Azmanking” , this young and energetic Award winner PADI Course Director

is one of the few PADI Course Directors around Asia to graduate from PADI Headquarter in California. He is also the first and still the only Malay PADI Course Director in the world.

Azman has been awarded the prestigious Platinum PADI Course Director rating since the first year PADI introduced this award in 2005. Platinum rating is awarded only to PADI Course Directors who train at least 100 PADI Instructor candidates during each calendar year. There are less than 65 PADI Course Directors worldwide received this rating in 2008.

On the 3rd of April 2009, PADI Course Director Azman Sulaiman is honoured by PADI Asia Pacific for his outstanding contribution towards PADI Instructor Development Programs. He is the WINNER of PADI Instructor Development Award 2009!! So far, Azman is the only PADI Course Director in Malaysia to have received this special award specifically for Instructor Development Programs.

He was first introduced to the underwater world 22 years ago. He became a PADI professional in 1992. Since then he has been taking many different roles within the diving industry both locally and internationally.

Today, As PADI Course Director and Training Director in the most successful PADI Instructor Development Centre in Perhentian Island, Malaysia; Azman has a lot to share with you during your PADI Go Pro and PADI Instructor Development Course (IDC) with him.

His diving experience….

To date, as a “hard core” Azman has approximately 5000 logged dives from different parts of the world. Enjoying every single dive he does, he still enthusiastically guides fun-divers at his dive center, continually sharing his knowledge about the ocean and the marine creatures.

Guess what Azman does when he is on holiday – Yes, you are right….he goes diving!

At this point, he is very much into Digital Underwater Photography!

His teaching experience….

Since becoming a PADI Instructor, Azman has certified 1400+ PADI Divers from beginner to professional level. As the TOP PADI Course Director in Malaysia, every year he certifies at least 100 PADI Instructor candidates from PADI Instructor Development Course or higher PADI Instructor levels. In 2008, he certifies 120 PADI Instructors to be exact!

His understanding of the Diving Industry…..

Apart from Malaysia and Singapore, Azman also has experienced working for the dive industry in the Great Barrier Reef (Australia), Indonesia, Thailand and Borneo. Over the years as a PADI professional, he has gained experience from working in small beach-resort dive centers to working in a PADI Five Star Career Development Center.

Running his own successful PADI 5 Star Instructor Development Center & Resort for 14 years has put him in a favourable position to share his knowledge and skills in diving business, guiding you not only to be a good instructor, but also a well-rounded one!

His support and knowledge in PADI System of Diver Education….

Azman keeps himself up-to-date with all the latest PADI Standards and programs by attending every possible PADI Seminars and up dates around the region, and by keeping a close contact and good relationship with our local PADI office and PADI Headquarter.

He is known in setting his PADI IDC standard high, that’s one of the reasons why he is still holding an outstanding first IE passing rate (99%) since becoming a PADI Course Director.

His support and contribution towards the Marine Environment….

Working closely with PADI Project AWARE Foundation, The Department of Marine Park and Reef Check in Malaysia, Azman has been involved various different Environment and Aquatic life Conservation projects around the east coast of Malaysia. Annual Beach and Underwater Clean up in the Perhentian Islands is one of the yearly events that he organizes to promote care for the environment.
